This is the section where we look at breakthrough technology and discuss the reason why it failed so bad.
The Technology
Bone Fone is a life jacket like thing that you drape over your shoulders and listen to “stereo” music through your bones, and no one else can hear it. It has a radio built in so you can listen to your favourite station while doing what ever it is that you do.
The Failure
“The sound will also resonate through your bones” – no one wants to listen to music through their bones, that’s why we have ears faggot.
“you get the same stereo separation you’d expect from earphones but without the bulk and inconvenience” – It’s a fucking giant scarf you wear around your neck, how is that less bulky than earphones.
“The Bone Fone weighs only 15 ounces” – That’s almost half a kilo, that seems heavy? numnuts.
In conclusion this would be kinda cool to have actually, but its fail factor outweighs its purpose. Quotes taken from its advertorial in a Modern Mechanix magazine, 1980.

as a dj/producer i fucken rely on my bone phone. they really take my dj sets to the next level. i can feel the music pumping through my naked body (i dj naked, duh) and that's what being a dj/producer is all about; being one with mother music. tribal. yin yang. its all good stuff.
