Final Thing on This Thing

I promise that this will be the last post that has anything to do with section ninetysomething of the NZ wikipedia thing; if you want to read about shit like that then go to slashdot or whatever. We're meant to be all about pancakes and things that pwolf can kind of make out in trees.

Also these blackout protesters are, I assume, tiresome reasonable types who believe that the problem lies with the specific fuckedupness of this particular law, rather than with the whole idea of intellectual property, the crushing dowdiness of content-as-a-career, and the embarrassing and needy conceit of 'authorship'.

Anyway my point is why is Peter Dunne (I got him confused with Michael Cullen... because I don't watch TV) out on the steps of parliament bragging about how he blacked out his myspace blingies?

Because I'm pretty sure HE VOTED FOR THE FUCKING THING. More than once. Probably one hundred times. He probably votes for it in his sleep every night. He's probably voting for it right now.

So what the fuck? I guess it's just nice not to be ignored.

[It's also nice not to look like a fucking idiot. The original version of this post had no facts right at all.]

New Zealand Non-Event Mentioned on Obscure Internet Talk Thing

Remember this thing? About this thing? It got briefly mentioned, and owned, on the internet's premiere venue for conspiracy theories, restaurant reviews and meaningless uses of the word 'fractal'.

It actually got mentioned everywhere. But a No Agenda mention is the exact equivalent of the whole of New Zealand guest-staring in seven Simpsons episodes, back when people still watched it.

Being a thing on a topic sheet for braindead technology gabfests will soon be what the entire New Zealand economy does. The End.

Case Closed, Great Job

I was going to enlist the help of our very own realgoddamnmurderpolice, P. Wolf, to crack the case of the missing Tim & Eric post. But all that was needed was a little investigative journalism HAB4U style. It would seem that Google has been fucking with our shit, removing copyrighted content and generally acting like some kind of over-zealous, power tripping prefect telling you to pull up your socks and demanding a lunch pass.

Phantom Expander, Can Scott Watch Crack Case?

3251602025_34c7cb3843_o.png

This piece of Marlborough news is BURNING UP the internet presses. It's definitely better than the last big piece of Marlborough news, which was a major slap to the face for anyone who had to hear about it. Anyway although the mystery expander is now apparently 'in hiding', I still have to believe that - with our own man on the street daily laying down the sort of investigative journalism that makes the Marlborough Express editors weep into their decaf at every page one meeting - we at HAB4U can get that name. And hopefully, that name will be Clyne.

Challenge laid.
